Poppy was imported into Australia from England by Peter Warby, and during her show career she was handled by Jenny. Poppy first won the Specialty held in N.S.W. in October 1989 under breed Specialist Stephen Campbell from the USA. She followed up by winning the Easter Specialty in 1990, again under another breed Specialist this time Paul Stanton\ from Sweden. Penrith A & H Society saw Poppy go Best in Show under Mr. R. Marshall (NSW).

Also in 1998 she was Reserve Bitch at the Easter Specialty. She was also Best in Specialty at the Open Show held in Victoria in conjunction with Melbourne Royal
